The rugby season is in full swing and it's no surprise that players from all corners of the globe are making a name for themselves. Here's a list of seven Bay of Quinte players who have made it to the top.
The first round featured the Loyalist Lancers and the Kingston St. Lawrence Vikings. Also, the Peterborough Fleming Knights, the Oakville Sheridan Bruins and the Peterborough Fleming Knights all visited the pitch. But, not all the big names are on the right side. Even the Loyalists didn't manage to crack the scoreboards during the initial stages.
The top honors for most sought-after trophy go to the Loyalists member whose name is displayed on the shirt. That man is former Leinster stalwart James Lowe, and he has a ton of points on his mantle.

Other than a fight with the winger, there was a few noteworthy performances by the region's top guns. The Loyalists' scout helmet was especially impressive. It is not a home run but it is an impressive feat for this team.
The Loyalists’ newest member had its moments, even if there were some mistakes. Britt Whiting's stunning score and Christine Vandertoorn’s incredible score are two of the highlights. Amanda Blair's performance was, however, the highlight of the event. Although she was the recipient of the OCAA female rugby player of the week award, it was the kicking game that won the day. Taking advantage of a brisk icy wind, Blair booted three penalty kicks, while also claiming the aforementioned player of the week award.
The OCAA's women's and men's leagues had plenty of amazing feats. Although it is not unusual for teams to be named "Jackson", or "Jake", they may be best left behind. "George North" (and "George Davidson") were both injured and had to miss Round 2, while "Geoff Farrar” and "Gabe Davidson” stayed home for victory. The Vikings and Lancers still won. Their names are still unknown for the other contenders.
But, the OCAA's men's leagues are a different story. Despite being on a losing streak, reigning champs the OCAA is not in the dark. However, the Vikings & Lancers have proved to the OCAA that they're not limited to Kingston. The scores they have accumulated this season show that they have made significant moves. With just a few rounds to go, they still have the chance of securing a top-four finish. They will return to the winners' podium if they are able to keep their heads straight when they reach the finals next season.

It's safe to assume the other OCAA male league contenders will be vying for the title.
FAQ
What makes parasailing different to parachuting?
Para-gliding involves using a harness that is attached to a small sailing sail to fly above the earth. You can fly with the harness. It keeps you safe when you're falling through the air.
You don't need any equipment to fly. You simply attach yourself to the sail. Then you take off. The sail will be pushed against the wind as you ascend in altitude. This helps to lift your spirits.
As you glide along the ground, you keep moving forward. Your momentum will propel you forward until the cable ends. You let go of the cable and you return to earth.
If you're ready, reattach your sail.
Parasailing is a rapidly growing sport. 2013 saw parasailing reach more than 1,000,000. This is almost twice the number of people who participated in parasailing in 2008
